Using Rules to Stop or Allow Rating

Rating Rules Overview

Rules can be added to rating actions to trigger or not trigger the rating action.  A message can be displayed in the quote.  For example, a rule can be set up to exclude a zip code or set effective date ranges.

Rating Rules Configuration

In the product, click "Events & Actions" then click into the appropriate event.

Click "Edit rules"

Configure the condition in the conditions section.

Leave the slider at "Do not run this action" to stop rating if true if appropriate for conditions.  Otherwise, click the slider to "Run this action."
Click "+Message" to add a message that is viewable in the quote.

Click "Save event group" when changes are made.
