Endorsing a Policy

To endorse a policy in the Dais platform, please use the following steps:

  1. From the top navigation bar, click ‘Customers’
  2. In the Customer List, click on the client name of the Customer that needs the policy endorsement
  3. Select ‘Policies’ on the Customer Details pageScreen_Shot_2022-05-16_at_1.38.46_PM.png
  4. Click on the policy number, then ‘endorsement.’ A list of available endorsement options will populate.

  5. Select the applicable endorsement
  6. Select your endorsement effective date

  7. Click 'continue'
  8. Enter any applicable endorsement information
  9. From here, you can either click on 'save, continue later,' which will create a draft endorsement, or 'issue endorsement' which will allow you to process your changes.

  10. For premium-bearing endorsements you can view the impact of the endorsement to the premium by clicking on 'Financial Breakdown.'

  11. Review the changes to the policy. If all looks good, click ‘issue endorsement.’
  12. The endorsement will be issued, and new policy documents will be generated on the left-hand side of the screen under ‘Timeline.’ Clicking on the document will allow you to print or download it.

  13. If you choose Save, continue later you will see the endorsement in the timeline on the left side of the screen.  
  14. You can add comments to remind you what you changed, or what additional information is needed.

  15. Pinning a comment will allow you or others to quickly access it in the future Screenshot 2024-12-03 at 12.35.08 PM.png
  16. Starring a note will add a flag, making that note always visible.
