How to configure and execute policy extensions

The Dais platform has added policy extensions to our product configuration options. Here is a brief walkthrough of how to configure, then execute a policy extension. 

1. From the main homepage, click on 'products.'

2. Select the product you would like to configure policy extensions for.

3. Click on 'policy settings,' then scroll to the bottom and toggle the policy extensions radio button to 'yes.'

4. Choose the max number of days that a policy can be extended, and decide whether or not you'd like to generate a document when the policy is extended.

5. Save your changes.

 

Try it: To extend a policy once this functionality has been configured, follow the below steps:

1. From your policy list on the main page, or from the policies tab on your client, find the policy that you would like to add an extension to.

2. If extensions have been configured, you will see an 'extension' button.

3. Choose the new policy expiration date and click on 'preview changes.'

4. The system will generate a 'financial impact preview' if the premium has changed.

5. After saving your policy extension, it will become visible in the policy timeline.
